It’s been raining Nokia Windows Phone 7 concepts lately and the device below is not an exception. Dubbed the Nokia 7, this phone was created by Long-Nong Huang and it comes with an Intel Atom Z520 CPU at 1.33GHz, plus a 4 inch Super LCD display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.

On the back of this WP7 slider there’s a 14 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and support for 1080p capture. Nokia 7 supports LTE 4G connectivity, mini HDMI and up to 32GB of extra memory via SDHC card. There’s also a 1600 mAh battery on board and a full QWERTY keyboard. Could this be the revival of the Nokia N9?

We continue the saga of Nokia Microsoft concept phones with a new Windows Phone 7 model: Nokia EOS. This can be considered the sliding QWERTY version of the Nokia ARES model you saw hours ago. They are basically the same, aside from the QWERTY keyboard on the EOS.

The handset is very slim, it features an aluminum body, 4 inch display and the same 12MP camera. The keyboard sliders easily along the profile and the display’s angle is tilted, in pure Nokia N Series fashion. Since EOS is not the best of codenames can we call this phone the Nokia E8, or rather the N9-02?

We’re back with yet another Nokia Windows Phone 7 concept, following yesterday’s design. This is the Nokia ARES, available below and packing very appealing specs, that include a 12MP autofocus Xenon camera and a 4 inch 16/9 screen. This was initially a MeeGo concept, but the switch to WP7 was made recently, for obvious reasons.

Nokia ARES adopts a convex profile, aluminum body and a clean design, with a single physical button (that will change in future designs to match Microsoft’s required number of buttons). The device also includes a microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot (not something you usually find on a WP7 handset).

HDMI and the camera button are lacking, because of the design challenges, but they might make it to future concepts. What do you think? Any feedback is welcome either here, or on the source site.

Tablet Runs MeeGo With a Customized UI; Design Teased Here

The main appeal of this design is not really the Nokia N00 tablet, but rather the MeeGo customization that’s going to take place. Jozef Kocúr is at it again and we suspect that Windows Phone 7 will blend with the MeeGo experience for a tablet OS and UI that will surprise us all.

We’ll just have to wait and see, since this is a mere teaser of the N00. Any specs in mind? 10 inch display, dual core CPU, LTE, 64GB of memory maybe?

Today’s shocker (or not so much) was the announcement that Nokia will be working with Microsoft and focusing on Windows Phone 7 for its handsets. Well, not so many hours after that, Engadget found a nifty series of Nokia concept phones running said OS. Apparently, these designs are made by Nokia and Microsoft.

As you can see they borrow heavily from the N8 and C7 Symbian phones and use brightly colored cases. The usual WP7 buttons are present, at the lower side, below the display, that should be between 3.5 inch a 4.3 inch in diagonal (we suppose). We have found out today from Nokia and Microsoft officials that phones like the N8 and E7 won’t receive any WP7 upgrade, so one can only dream.

Designer Jason Wang decided to switch the classical Nokia design into something more modern: a slate phone with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The device is dubbed Nokia E2 with is symmetry across a horizontal axis. We’re dealing with an ergonomic handset that features a large display with a 4.6 inch diagonal.

The screen is a ClearBlack display and the Nokia E2 also comes with a 12MP camera with Xenon flash and 720p video capture at 30 fps. There’s also a microSD slot on board, that together with the SIM slot is revealed by pulling the left side of the back cover, that tilts (2 degrees). A noise cancelling microphone is also present on the slate, as well as a proximity sensor and an accelerometer.

HDMI output is supported and we’d love to see this concept working with an original dock of sorts. It would make a great media playing unit!

X9 Symbian^3 Phone Uses Dragontail Glass Screen

Yet another Symbian^3 concept has reached our parts, courtesy of the same Mynokiablog.com. This time it’s the Nokia X9 model we’re talking about, a handset that uses the brand new Dragontail glass technology for protection. The designer is Andre Nuansa and the handset is pretty simple, rectangular and classic.

The Dragontail is a rival for the Gorilla Glass technology, being six times stronger than regular glass. On the back of the Nokia X9 we find a 12MP camera with true zoom, Carl Zeiss optics and 1080p HD video capture. A 1.2GHz CPU handles dual core processing and the task of Symbian, coupled with the Qt GUI.

Maybe it’s time for Nokia to venture in the unbreakable phone land…

Most of the recent Nokia phone designs were Meego material, so it’s refreshing (or not) to see a new Symbian device. The Nokia C8 concept phone was created by DailyMobile user Madgy and it’s a pretty hot handset, inspired by the C7 model.

The front and back side of the phone are flat and the C8 comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen with a 720 x 405 resolution (quite strange) and 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the screen there’s a mini capacitive OLED display with a 330 x 50 pixel resolution. It’s used for display social networking updates, new tweets, messages and mails.

At the back of the Nokia C8 you’ll find a 12MP autofocus camera with LED flash and on the side there’s a battery indicator and a capacitive camera button. This concept is begging to become real and Nokia could borrow something from it.

Nokia Leafpad 10 Inch Tablet Runs MeeGo

21/02/2011 03:56 par slaytane

We guess you’ve had enough of MeeGo cellphones, so it’s time for a Nokia tablet, one that features a 10 inch touchscreen and many more goodies. We’re talking about the Nokia Leafpad, a design created by Shihuzaan and a device that uses a CBD AMOLED display, while running MeeGo OS.

Its specs include 1080p playback, a 2MP front camera, HDMI, 2 USB ports and a microSD card slot. Nokia Leafpad’s battery life should be over 10 hours, in order to surpass the one on the iPad. 512MB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, plus a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU are required, as well. WiMAX, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 will handle the connectivity.

Right now Nokia should be focusing on quality smartphones with large touchscreens and MeeGo, before moving on to tablets, but this concept sure looks promising…

Nokia is the way to go these days, as we approach MWC 2011 and we’re only dealing with designs here, not real devices, sadly. This time it’s Abhay Vir who created a stunning Nokia handset, the AMeego, pictured below and sporting a 2 way slider design.

Based on the MeeGo OS, Nokia AMeego features a 4.1 inch display (AMOLED multitouch), with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and 4.3 aspect ratio. The phone supports GSM quadband connectivity, 3G, EDGE, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and uses a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, accompanied by 1GB RAM and 2GB ROM.

64GB of built in memory, plus a 64GB microSD card will also do the job and believe it or not, MeeGo 2.0 will support Android apps. A 12MP Xenon Flash camera is placed at the back of the device, complete with geotagging, autofocus, image stabilization, smile detection and 720p video capture at 30fps. The 2 way slider measures 17mm in thickness and weighs 170 grams. Brilliant piece of equipment, I have to say!
