La marque Samsung s'apprête à démarrer la commercialisation de son téléphone portable C5010 Squash, un modèle 3G d'entrée de gamme.
Devant être disponible d'ici la fin du deuxième trimestre, dans les semaines à venir donc, le mobile Samsung C5010 Squash n'a pas encore été officialisé par le constructeur sud-coréen. Certains détails techniques et son prix sont par conséquent inconnus pour le moment. Les quelques visuels et caractéristiques dont on dispose donnent néanmoins un très bon aperçu du terminal, qui se positionnera sur un marché d'entrée de gamme et devrait être relativement abordable.
Au format monobloc et dans une unique finition noire, le téléphone portable Samsung C5010 Squash annonce une compatibilité GSM / GPRS / EDGE quadribande 850 / 900 / 1 800 / 1 900 MHz et UMTS / HSDPA bibande 900 / 2 100 MHz et propose un petit écran LCD 2 pouces en 65 536 couleurs et dans une résolution 128 x 160 pixels.
Il dispose également d'un appareil photo numérique 1,3 Mégapixel, d'un lecteur audio-vidéo compatible MP3 / MPEG-4, d'un tuner radio FM avec fonction RDS, d'une mémoire interne ( à la capacité non précisée, mais de quelques dizaines de Mo tout au plus ) extensible à l'aide d'un logement pour les cartes mémoire microSD, d'une liaison filaire USB 2.0 et d'une connectivité sans-fil Bluetooth 2.1.
Reste à attendre sa commercialisation pour avoir les quelques détails manquants ( dimensions, poids, mémoire interne et autonomie ) et son prix.

From the house of the second largest conglomerate comes the latest Android device: the Samsung i897, which has also been termed as the Samsung Captivate. This appealing handset features a lot of powerful traits, and is thought to be competitive to the iPhone. The phone runs on the Android 2.1 (Éclair) operating system, with the combination of ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor. This feature-rich smartphone is quite tempting and boasts of good looks too! The Samsung Captive, the newest, Android-running addition to Samsung’s Galaxy lineup, will be coming to the AT&T network, so Samsung i897’s AT&T version will be called Samsung Galaxy S.
The Samsung i897 Captivate handset accompanies with it a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 4 inch, and supporting 16M colours and 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The phone incorporates the TouchWiz 3.0 user interface, and a multi-touch input method. Even auto-rotation of the user interface is possible due to the support of the accompanying Accelerometer sensor. Along with the touch-sensitive controls, the handset also includes the Proximity sensor for auto-turnoff, and the Swype text input.
The Samsung i897 Captivate handset provides provision for connectivity through the 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900networks and 3G HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 networks. Other connectivity and data transfer options include the support for Class 12 (4+1/3+2/2+3/1+4 slots), 32 – 48 kbps GPRS and Class 12 EDGE. On the 3G networks, the connectivity provided comprises of speeds as HSDPA with 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA with 5.76 Mbps. Wi-Fi connectivity is great with the support for 802.11 b/g/n; DLNA. Other connectivity options include the Bluetooth which is v3.0 with A2DP, a v2.0 micro USB port, but no infrared port.

In terms of phonebook and memory support, the Samsung i897 Captivate smartphone seems quite sufficient, with the support for practically unlimited entries and records in the phonebook, the support for the Photocall feature, and the practically unlimited storage of call records. The phone also associates with it a 16 GB of internal storage, and a 512 MB RAM, and is also accompanied with the support of the micro SD card slot, which can support up to 32 GB. The phone is also accompanied by a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Among the multimedia entertainment features, the Samsung i897 Captivate phone scores quite well too, with the accompanying 5 MP camera with features like autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection,and video recording of 720p at the rate of 30fps. Even a secondary VGA camera is also escorted with it.
Other noteworthy features include the Social networking integration for faster access to the social networking sites, Digital compass, MP4 / DivX / WMV / H.264 / H.263 player, MP3 / WAV / eAAC+ / AC3 / FLAC player, Organizer, Image / video editor, Document editor for editing documents in the formats of Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration for accurate image editing, Flash Lite v3.1, Voice memo / dial / commands, and many more.
The Samsung i897 Captivate handset also includes the support for A-GPS, Stereo FM radio with RDS, an HTML browser, and messaging techniques as SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM and RSS. La seule véritable différence entre ces deux terminaux, c'est le form factor. Le Samsung Wave 2 est au format monobloc et le Samsung Wave 2 Pro au format slider avec clavier complet pour la messagerie dans la partie coulissante.

Le Samsung i5800 Galaxy 3 qui devrait sortir sur le marché ce Juillet serait aux alentours de 540$ en Russie après conversion. Pour cette somme, vous aurez un écran tactile 3.2" WQVGA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n et HSDPA, A-GPS, une prise casque 3.5mm, un APN autofocus 3.2 mégapixels et 170Mo de mémoire interne. En contraste, le Nokia N8 coûte 80$ de moins que le Galaxy 3 dans cette partie du monde, et à moins que vous ayez une affection particulière pour Android, le Nokia serait une meilleure affaire

Le téléphone mobile Samsung B7722, que nous découvrions il y a peu, est un modèle monobloc aux dimensions 11,4 x 5,6 x 1,4 centimètre pour un poids de 112 grammes.

While presenting the X5-01 slider in Singapore, Nokia has also announced a new version of the X6, namely the Nokia X6 8GB (this is the third version of the handset, after the X6 32GB and X6 16GB).
The new Symbian smartphone has a blue back case and, of course, it comes with only 8GB of internal memory.
Other than that, the X6 8GB is not at all different from the old X6, featuring a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 360 x 640 pixels, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, Ovi Maps with free navigation, Bluetooth, stereo FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, and 5MP Carl Zeiss camera with autofocus and flash.
Nokia X6 8GB will be available starting the third quarter of the year for only €225 (about $275). At this price, I can really see Nokia selling lots of X6 8GBs around the world.

Le constructeur finlandais Nokia vient d'annoncer quatre terminaux mobiles d'entrée de gamme parmi lesquels les C1-01 et C1-02.
Le modèle C1-02 en est très proche physiquement et techniquement. Les seules différences se situent au niveau de l'appareil photo numérique qui est absent et des finitions proposées avec un choix entre des tons bleu, gris, noir et prune.
Les téléphones mobiles Nokia C1-01 et C1-02 seront commercialisés à partir du quatrième trimestre à respectivement 59 et 55 euros, hors subvention opérateur.
