S8000 Jet

Samsung's 5-megapixel S8000 handset has been snapped online and caught on video giving an insight into a new Cubic navigation feature. The video popped up over at MobileBulgaria.com and gives a good insight into what to expect of the TouchWiz-toting handset. Aside from the 5-megapixel camera with flash and autofocus, there's also Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a 3.1-inch AMOLED display and a whole bunch of other acronyms that basically amount to declaring it'll play just about all of the media file types you can throw at it. The video clearly demonstrates the TouchWiz UI in action, and that the widget approach is now firmly entrenched as the MO for the Samsung touchscreen brand. A new addition for the S8000 is the 3D Cubic navigation that immediately brings the LG Arena to mind, although it seems to function in a slightly different way. The handset is also reportedly going to support gesture and accelerometer control in some form too. According to MobileBulgaria, we should hear official word of this device around the 15th June. Naturally though, we took down all the device's vitals in back in March when it surfaced previously. If you want to check out the Cubic UI for yourself it starts around the 5:29 mark, or for the more leisurely viewer, enjoy the full 6 minutes of Samsung TouchWiz loveliness.

Shane A. Bygrave or, as he’s known on the Esato board, echo.shane has just shown the world 2 brand new Sony Ericsson concepts, Nene, a handset that’s part of the Unlimited Entertainment series and SE Wallet, a concept we’ve seen before in a teaser.
Sony Ericsson Nene incorporates a 8.1 megapixel camera and I have to say that I love its colors and design.
The designer has promised that he’ll soon publish the specs and more pics of the concepts, but till then I can notice a pretty decent screen on the front side of the Nene phone. The keys below it seem touch sensitive, but I’m just guessing here, so don’t throw stones just yet.
Moving on to the Sony Ericsson Wallet, or the Z230-w12, as the designer calls it, I have to say that I don’t quite get what this product is, but we’ll get more info in the following days. It could actually be a wallet… like its name says.

Omnia is already becoming a series of Samsung handsets, now that along with Omnia i900 and Omnia HD i8910, the manufacturer is planning to release an Omnia Pro model, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard.
Since it’s Sunday and there’s no concept in sight, we show you the mockup of the future device, done by the folks of samsung.hdblog.it
Samsung Omnia Pro will also feature a wide touchscreen and it’ll hit the market in July, for about $662. It’ll run Windows Mobile 6.1 and use a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, image stabilizer and support for video recording. An upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 should also be available and the display of the Pro is a 3.5 inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen.
